Vanochtend in een gemeente geweest, 'k ga niet zegggen welke, waar ik zo ontzettend gelukkig werd. Ik heb genoten van de aanbidding en de voorganger, die zo ontzettend zuiver en nederig is. Ik werd weer bevestigd door Zijn Woord, in het feit dat God ZUIVER IS. MEGAZUIVER! Zijn Woord, Jezus zelf, is zo PUUR. Niemand kan Hem nadoen of napraten, totdat je zelf door dit ZUIVERE WOORD bent veranderd. En dat Woord is SCHERP, omdat HIJ HEILIG IS.  En dat maakt mij ontzettend gelukkig. Niet alleen ons hart wordt veranderd, maar Hij wil dat onze gedachten rein, puur en zuiver zijn. Alleen ZIJN WOORD kan dat doen.  Zijn Woord is veilig.

Rom. 8:6 "Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever]."

In de vorige blog haalde ik een tekst aan die over het denken gaat. In bovenstaande tekst legt de Bijbel uit dat er ook een ander denken is. Er is een denken uit de Heilige Geest die onze natuurlijke gedachten moet overstemmen. Heel veel chrisenen hebben nog niet geleerd gehoorzaam te zijn aan de Heilige Geest. Dit kan komen door:
1. Ze hebben de vervulling met de Heilige Geest niet ontvangen;
2. Ze hebben niet de volheid van de Heilige Geest ontvangen;
3. Ze hebben hun eigen leven liever dan dat zij gehoorzaam zijn aan God (hierdoor missen zij de volheid en zegen; pt 2).

Kern van het verhaal, naar mijns inziens, is niet kunnen geloven dat God ontzettend goed is en ook een stuk onwetendheid/inzicht over de erfenis in Christus voor hen die geloven in Hem. Dit laatste was bij mij het geval. Ik wist bijv. niet dat ik een nieuwe schepping was geworden (2 Kor. 5:17), sinds ik mijn leven aan Jezus had gegeven. Het woord heeft mijn leven totaal veranderd. Nadat ik kennis kreeg van het Woord, maakte de Heilige Geest het levend voor mij. De Bijbel zegt ook dat zonder de Heilige Geest het denken 'dood' is.

Het is ontzettend belangrijk om ons natuurlijk denken soms uit te schakelen als het gaat om de dingen van God om zo Gods wil te ontdekken. Het punt is: het natuurlijke is niet aanwezig in de hemel, omdat God Geest is!!! Dan kun je er beter nu mee afrekenen om zo de volheid van God te zien in je leven, als dat je straks in de hemel pas van die volheid kunt genieten. Vernieuwing is essentieel als het gaat om de dingen van God. Ons denken zou moeten voortkomen uit God, uit Zijn Woord en dat Woord is Geest en Leven (Joh. 6:63b). En dat is het beste en het meest zuiver!

Prov. (Spreuken) 23:7: "For as (s)he thinks in his/her heart, so is (s)he"

Question: What do you think of yourself? Is it Christlike? Hope so!

"If God were your Father, you would love Me and respect Me and welcome Me gladly, for I proceeded (came forth) from God [out of His very presence]. I did not even come on My own authority or of My own accord (as self-appointed); but He sent Me.  Why do you misunderstand what I say? It is because you are unable to hear what I am saying. [You cannot bear to listen to My message; your ears are shut to My teaching.]

You are of your father, the devil, and it is your will to practice the lusts and gratify the desires [which are characteristic] of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar [himself] and the father of lies and of all that is false.
But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me [do not trust Me, do not rely on Me, or adhere to Me]. Who of you convicts Me of wrongdoing or finds Me guilty of sin? Then if I speak truth, why do you not believe Me [trust Me, rely on, and adhere to Me]?
Whoever is of God listens to God. [Those who belong to God hear the words of God.] This is the reason that you do not listen [to those words, to Me]: because you do not belong to God and are not of God or in harmony with Him.
The Jews answered Him, Are we not right when we say You are a Samaritan and that You have a demon [that You are under the power of an evil spirit]?
Jesus answered, I am not possessed by a demon. On the contrary, I honor and reverence My Father and you dishonor (despise, vilify, and scorn) Me. However, I am not in search of honor for Myself. [I do not seek and am not aiming for My own glory.] There is One Who  seeks it and He is the Judge."

John 8:42-50

Hoe bedoel je radicaal?!

"Ik heb liever een kerk, die nog niet helemaal gezond is, maar wel ontzag heeft voor God, dan een kerk, die sterk overkomt, maar God niet eert"

Er zijn veel kerken in Nederland waar ontzag voor God al van jongs af aan wordt geleerd. En ik vind dat goed. Omdat het Bijbels is.

Momenteel is de maatschappij los gekomen van God en zien wij nog slechts de kleine goede resultaten van het Calvinisme. Het hedonisme heeft zijn intrede gedaan en dit Babylon bedreigt ook de gemeente van Christus. Gelukkig (!!) zien wij een nieuwe beweging van Gods Geest onder met name tieners en twintigers:

"This is the generation of those who seek Him [who inquire of and for Him and of necessity require Him], who seek Your face, [O God of] Jacob. Selah [pause, and think of that]!" (Ps. 24:6 )

Het aantrekkelijkste in een christen vind ik de God-fear-factor. En God vindt dat ook:

"Serve the Lord with reverent awe and worshipful fear; rejoice and be in high spirits with trembling [lest you displease Him]." (Ps. 2:11)

"The secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning." (Ps. 25:14)

"Let all the earth fear the Lord [revere and worship Him]; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him." (Ps. 33:8)

Tenslotte over de God-fear-factor, ook in het Nieuwe Verbond. Efeze 2: 1-5a:
"And you [He made alive], when you were dead (slain) by [your] trespasses and sins, in which at one time you walked [habitually]. You were following the course and fashion of this world [were under the sway of the tendency of this present age], following the prince of the power of the air. [You were obedient to and under the control of] the [demon] spirit that still constantly works in the sons of disobedience [the careless, the rebellious, and the unbelieving, who go against the purposes of God]. Among these we as well as you once lived and conducted ourselves in the passions of our flesh [our behavior governed by our corrupt and sensual nature], obeying the impulses of the flesh and the thoughts of the mind [our cravings dictated by our senses and our dark imaginings]. We were then by nature children of [God's] wrath and heirs of [His] indignation, like the rest of mankind.

But God–so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us, even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ."

The God-fear-factor zit in het dienen van Christus. En Hem wil ik eren!

"And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." (Rom. 12:2)
